Who are you?

We are The Tipple Club, an online store for our bar hire company Barology Bar Hire. We have over 10 years’ experience in the licensed trade and over 15 years’ experience in retail. Our bottling takes place on a license premises; Red Lion Hotel, Cyffylliog whom we work alongside to produce some of our products.

What do I actually get in my tasting sets?

Each of our Tipple Boxes contain FIVE 50ml Tasting Tipples, Information/ Tasting cards that you can make you own notes on and in your first set you will also receive a “How to Taste…” and a welcome letter. Occasionally we also throw in some extra surprises too!

When will I get my tasting sets?

Depending on when you place your order, we aim to get all Tipple Boxes sent out by the end of the first full week of the month. If you order within 2 weeks of the last box, we will aim to send that months tasting set out to you within 3 working days. After that period, we will send out the next month’s box within the time frame stated above.

When will I get my other products?

For all other products on our site we aim to dispatch within 2 working days from receiving your order (unless a product has a specified delivery period stated on the product page). If you require something a bit quicker get in touch and we will do our best!

Why are you more expensive than other sets?

When doing our research, we noticed that most boxes came in either 5 x 30ml tipples or 3 x 45ml tipples or somewhere in between. The Tipple Club believe in no half measures, that’s why we had a choice of either providing 25ml or 50ml measures. We chose 50ml, double shots! Therefore, you get more for your money (e.g. the Gin Tipples work out at £2.80 per shot and that’s cheaper than most bars).

Why don’t I just buy a bottle for the same price?

It's fair to say you can get some awesome bottles for the same price as our boxes. BUT you'd only be able to get ONE bottle; and what if you end up not enjoying it...what a waste! The Tipple Club offer FIVE different tipples from a wide range of bottles. Some of our bottles have an RRP of over £100!

Why do you charge delivery when others don't?

Well this was a tricky situation for us, and we needed a tipple to brainstorm! We are trying to give you as much as we can for the lowest price possible. We had a choice of either raising the price of the sets to include the delivery or charge you a subsidised rate of £1.95 (the actual delivery charge to us per set is £3.95!).

How do I Pay?

All our products are paid for at checkout. If you choose to subscribe to one of our Tipple Box packages, we will take payment out each month until you cancel.

How many and what size Tipple will I receive?

The Tipple Club don’t do things by halves; so, we hand select FIVE 50ml (double shots!) tipples for each box, that’s a whopping 250ml!

Do I need to be in for Delivery?

Our delivery partner will require that someone is in to take delivery and a signature is required; although under the current situation you might not have to sign but still be in. If you are not in our delivery partner will leave a card. We will also send out an e-mail when your box is shipped. Any issues with deliveries please get in touch.

Can I get a refund?

Once we’ve processed your order, we can only issue refunds if you return your box to us unopened and in a resalable condition (this does not apply to custom made products). Unfortunately, we can’t issue refunds if you’re not happy with the contents. It doesn’t affect your statutory rights.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions can be cancelled by emailing thetipplebox@barologybarhire.com.

If payment has already been taken for you next Tipple Box this will be sent out as usual.

My products are damaged?

We understand that on the rare occasion damage does occur BUT don’t panic! Our team is here to help. Get in touch by either calling, e-mail or social media @the.tipple.club.

I want to leave a review or have some feedback?

We are always looking to improve! Customer feedback is one of the ways that helps us do that. Feel free to get in touch by either calling, e-mail or social media @the_tipple_club. If there is something you don’t like, please let us help resolve the problem. As they say, “Reputation is hard to build but easy to lose!”.

We like to keep things simple...

• The big question is; how often do you want your Tipple Box? Choose from a Monthly Tipple Box, Bi-Monthly Tipple Box or Quarterly Tipple Box.

• Choose your Tipple; unlike other subscription style boxes we let you choose the Tipple you want for each month; there is a choice from Whisky, Rum and Gin. (e.g. on the Quarterly Package you can choose 1st Tipple: Whisky, 2nd Tipple: Rum and 3rd Tipple: Gin).

• Your inaugural box will contain a “How to Taste…” and welcome letter, also not to forget your first 5 tasting tipples.

• Occasionally we throw in free gifts into our Tipple Boxes, anything from glassware to snacks! Also, if there is a certain tipple that takes your fancy, we will aim to source this for you at the lowest price possible, think of us as your Concierge!
